(no subject)

I'm totally jet-lagged, but it's great to be back in Rome. It still baffles me how a simple day or travel can cross an ocean; Europe no longer seems distant because after just a few hours of fitful napping on a plane and here I am.

The flight was very easy, aside from watching a flight attendant try to pick up my seatmate. That had its amusement, though, and it got me some free goodies so it would be less blatant that she was throwing herself at him. Unsuccessfullu, I might add :)

It's pretty amazing to return someplace I've spent so much time, and I've already given directions to two visiting Italians. It's truly wonderful to be back!
