Signs and Portents

I think I was just given a sign from the universe.

I'm considering a 2014 project that intimidates me (I'd give more details but I recently read that discussing plans is a psychological dampener on achieving them). The big hurdle is that I don't see a way to bring CDs and I'd be subsisting on tips. On Friday morning I had a distinctly mediocre set, saved only by cd sales, and I asked myself "how do I expect to do this without merchandise?"

Then a cop told me at my evening set that I could play but not sell CDs. Normally I would just move on to another city, but I've played all those nearby and this is by far the best. So I sucked it up and played, for my best night in tips I've had this trip so far.

And that is my sign to go for the goal even though it scares the hell out of me.
