I can't believe it's been almost five weeks since I arrived.
I still have a leisure weekend ahead, but the professional part of the trip is over. Overall it's been pretty good despite a slow start; construction at Pike Place Market made it a less reliable pitch than in the past, but in the end it came through for me. I've had a phenomenal time visiting close friends and I'm already looking forward to returning next year.
That part is important. I feel like I'm not ready to leave yet, which is usually an ironic indicator that I should; by the time I want to leave someplace, chances are good I won't want to come back. But I've already got my visit penciled in for next February and March around other potential goings on. I need to write down things to keep in mind for next year (where the cheapest good coffee is, which fruit stalls round prices down, places and times that are good to play), but those things will likely have changed by then. It's the beauty of the road; by the time the cycle comes around, it's all new again!
