Spring Fashions
Apr. 7th, 2007 11:23 amApparently some sort of fashion deadline just passed. The weather hasn't
changed in the past week (gorgeous, for the record), but suddenly I'm
surrounded by short skirts and bare legs. It's kind of distracting, but
not to complain...
Yesterday I went for a walk that was a bit more strenuous than I expected.
Having had such a great time going to the castle earlier this week, I
decided to walk to the sixteenth century lighthouse that is the symbol of
the city (it's under five hundred years old because some spoilsports came
by, sacking the city and knocking the old one down, in 1514). Let me just
say that horizons can play funny tricks with distances, especially when a
four hundred foot tall tower is involved, and maps can be misleading. But
it was a beautiful day and I think soaking up the sunshine did some really
great things for me because I was smiling all evening.
For Catholic math, our tally so far: Thursday was a great busking day,
Friday was very mediocre, and today was gangbusters. I'm really curious
to see what tomorrow will be like, but I'm going to take it easy and only
play for awhile in the afternoon - it's already been a fantastic week
overall and I could use a break!
